Bilastine 20mg Tablets

Bilastine works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during allergic reactions, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes. Indications: Bilagem Tablets are indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria in patients where Bilastine is considered appropriate. Dosage and Administration: The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age is one tablet (20mg) once daily, preferably on an empty stomach. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Consult a healthcare professional for appropriate dosing in pediatric patients. Precautions and Warnings Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration of treatment. Use caution in patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 20 mL/min) as dosage adjustment may be necessary. Avoid driving or operating machinery until the individual response to the medication is known, as it may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
