Product Description: Cefepime 1000mg Injection is a broad-spectrum, fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that provides effective coverage against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including those resistant to earlier-generation cephalosporins. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Each vial contains Cefepime Hydrochloride equivalent to 1000mg of Cefepime, supplied as a sterile dry powder for reconstitution prior to administration. Indications: Cefepime 1000mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of: Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis) Urinary tract infections (complicated and uncomplicated) Skin and soft tissue infections Intra-abdominal infections Febrile neutropenia Bone and joint infections Bacteremia and septicemia Infections caused by susceptible strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria Dosage & Administration: Adults: Usual dose is 1g every 12 hours, administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) depending on infection severity. Severe infections: Dose may be increased to 2g every 8–12 hours as advised by a physician. Children: Dosage should be based on body weight and clinical condition. Reconstitute the dry powder with Sterile Water for Injection (WFI) before administration. Administer only under medical supervision.
