Product Description: Amikacin 500mg Injection is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, including those resistant to other antibiotics. It is supplied as a dry powder injection in a vial for reconstitution before use. Indications: Amikacin 500mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including: Respiratory tract infections Urinary tract infections Intra-abdominal infections Bone and joint infections Meningitis and septicemia Skin and soft tissue infections Post-surgical infections Dosage & Administration: Adults: 15 mg/kg/day divided into 2–3 equal doses. Children: 15–20 mg/kg/day in 2–3 divided doses. Neonates: Initial dose 10 mg/kg followed by 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hours. Dosage should be adjusted based on renal function and severity of infection. Administer via intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) route only under medical supervision. Reconstitute the dry powder with sterile water for injection before use.
